Hi there,

Few more tweaks today. Added back in the:

<feature policy='disable' name='hypervisor'/>

option. I am a bit baffled reviewing this thread actually - I swear I had this option enabled? Anyway, also added the following:

</kvm><vmport state='off'/>

(just including the 'kvm' entry so you know where to pop this setting). According to the doco (https://libvirt.org/formatdomain.html#hypervisor-features) this disables emulation of a VMWare IO port.

In Task Manager, Performance Tab, CPU (after shutting down and restarting the VM) you'll now see: Virtualisation: Enabled. Whereas previously, this was Virtual Machine: Yes.

Before adding those settings into the XML config, Fornight was fine, but Marvel Rivals was not. Now, Rivals starts fine. Pretty impressed really, this is a ThreadRipper system I built specifically for Unraid back in 2018. Passing through a GTX3070. Again, not an avid gamer but feels good to give this older system a bit of a stretch!

Happy to try other games and report back, compare configs etc. So far, stable and works...

Confirming this one works with Wuthering Waves running on Unraid VM.

Adding this line bellow the KVM object on the <features>

<vmport state='off'/>

Trying to run Fantasy Life in a windows vm and none of the xml edits are working for me

Edit: nevermind, I changed the network model from e1000 to virtio and it worked. I was using e1000 for a very specific reason.

In any case, there's nothing that can be done about EA's anti-cheat through its JAVELIN app. ☹️

I applied the fixes listed here. Marvel Rivals plays awesome. Rainbow Six Siege / Siege X does not. anyone have Battleye work arounds?

just played lords of the fallen which uses easy anti-cheat. It detected my vm until i applied these changes from the comment of shakinbacon:

under <os> put

<smbios mode='host'/>

directly below that put this under <features>

<kvm>

<hidden state='on'/>

</kvm>

under <cpu mode ='host-passthrough'....... put

<feature policy='disable' name='hypervisor'/>

After these changes the game worked, but performance was terrible (more than halved my framerate).

I applied changes individually and learned this:

only kvm hidden state = on meant my machine was still detected.

only <smbios mode='host'/> allowed me to run my game and it didnt affect my performance.

tl;dr

apply all 3 of the changes above to try to hide your virtual machine. Then, if you notice a performance hit, apply the changes one by one until you found the one that hides your vm while maintaining performance

now go forth and make some plays. While exploring different options, I stumbled upon some interesting casino choices, including the options at https://casinoofthekings.ca/low-deposit-casino/1-deposit/ that allow for low deposits. These platforms provide a smooth user experience and a variety of games to try. It's a fun way to unwind after a productive session, and they often feature bonuses that make your gameplay even more exciting.

It helped me, everything is working now.

I can't seem to get Arc Raiders working, may still be relevant for this thread. I have not tried using the <vmport state='off'/> code block.

When I run it through Steam, it gives me these error message below.

I'm also having issues with Arc Raiders, sadly. I tried all the tricks in the thread, and they got me past the initial launch screen, but then during the game it pops up "System Integrity Violation - A forbidden operating system configuration was detected. ARAV8015" 😞 Banning VMs to try to stop cheating is crazy to me, sad because I bought this game and can't play it the way I'd like to. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes, this is the worst anti-cheat engine. I refunded the game and won't be playing it.
