Secondary pool disks not listed when creating share for my second pool

Featured Replies

When creating a share for my second pool, I want to only include the disk in my second pool, and the disk is not listed.  Only the disks in my array are listed.

Not sure if you are using the correct terms here between Pool and Array ?

In any case, while you can select what drives to use or not for the Array, multi drives Pools are RAID volumes and you cannot select specific drives, only one Pool or another.

I think what I needed to do is...

Share Settings:

Use cache pool (for new files/directories) = Only

Select cache pool = <My Second Pool>

This will then disable the other options.

Surprisingly, it also doesn't allow me to set "Minimum free space".

Why is this surprising?    If you have the Only option set then Unraid will attempt to put files on the pool regardless of the amount of space free and you will then get an error if a file does not fit.

Why is this surprising?

It's my understanding bad things happen when the "Minimum free space" is set to 0 KB, and the drive/share no longer has free space.
