37_
Hi there, my new created Unraid server has permanent high CPU load on one or two cores, TOP shows it was cased by kworker and ksoftirqd. things I tried so far but without success: boot without any USB devices attached but the Unraid USB drive it self boot in secure mode without any plug-ins, Some search results from google suggest it has something to do with USB auto suspend, disable it might help, but as total Linux newbie, I have zero idea how to do that. JorgeB
Looks like there's an easier solution, add to syslinux.cfg: usbcore.autosuspend=-1 Quote Link to comment
XS4U.XS4U
Can somebody tell me of this stil the solution? Because of no internal space, I have created an ZFS pool with one internal NVME and 2 NVME over usb C 3.2 . I know about the speed penalty but is is fast enough for me. It works great but the only annoying thing is that the disks go to standby modus after 5 minutes. no problems everything come back again when you hit the share but it is annoying because it takes about 20 seconds before you get an reply. After that the speed is great. I Have add this line in syslinux.cfg , but it doesn’t seem to work. USB is still going into standby. this is how it looks in the cfg. default menu.c32 menu title Lime Technology, Inc. prompt 0 timeout 50 Unraid OS kernel /bzimage append initrd=/bzroot usb.core.autosuspend=-1 this is correct right?
