Neight
A little while after the parity completed I got this error "A MANDATORY SMART COMMAND FAILED: EXITING. TO CONTINUE, ADD ONE OR MORE '-T PERMISSIVE' OPTIONS" and no longer shows up no matter what sata connection I use. Is it dead? its a brand new ironwolf HDD the first one I ordered was DOA plex-diagnostics-20221024-2003.zip Quote Link to comment

Neight
Ok so I was able to get the drive to show back up after trying every sata cable arrangement. Now one of my drives is showing up and unmountable or unsupported file system. I connected the drive to my windows pc and used DiskInternals to view the drive, and it shows up as XFS files system and still has data on it. plex-diagnostics-20221026-1023.zip Quote Link to comment
Neight
Also because the original problem was with my parity disk I do not have a backup of the data on the disk 3. Quote Link to comment
Solution JorgeB Posted October 26, 2022 Solution Share Posted October 26, 2022 Unraid cannot emulate a disk without parity, do a new config (Tools -> New config), keep all assignments and start he array, it should then mount, if it doesn't post new diags. Quote Link to comment
Neight
Thank you so much the drive is back! I legit had a heart attack when it was showing as unmountable. My dockers are all gone now though (I only run plex so its not a big deal) ive never done a new config is this normal? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
It's not normal for a disk to get disabled without parity, but it's been known to happen sometimes. Quote Link to comment
