Tivalent
hello together i had taken one parity disk out of the server because it was not running well and i wanted to delete it completely. unfortunately the other parity disk failed in the meantime. i have already connected it to the pc, but unfortunately it is not recognized is there a way to save the data? or a way to restore the parity disks? thank you very much for your help tower-diagnostics-20221105-2257.zip Quote Link to comment
itimpi
Parity disks have no data on them - just the information to reconstruct a failed drive in conjunction with ALL the other non-failed disks. in your case it sounds as if you simply need to rebuild parity based on your current data drives? Tivalent
yes exactly, how can i do this? Quote Link to comment
itimpi
Just now, Tivalent said: yes exactly, how can i do this? Assign the disks to be used as parity and start the array to begin building parity. Quote Link to comment

Not quite sure what you mean by this. Are you saying that you cannot assign a drive as parity? Your diagnostics showed that the system could not find the drive assigned as parity1. - is it meant to be there? if you want to clear any parity assignments you can unassign any parity drives and then start the array to make Unraid ‘forget’ the existing parity assignments. After doing that you can assign the parity drive(s) as you want. Quote Link to comment
Tivalent
yes exactly, unfortunately i can no longer assign a disk as a parity disk. when i start without parity currently it says: Too many wrong and/or missing disks! should i go to tools and then new config? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Disk7 is disabled, you cannot start the array without valid parity, you can do a new config but will lose any data that was on that disk. Quote Link to comment
