July 5, 201115 yr Yeah, that's what you or everyone else was getting confused on. It plays 1080 fine, just doesn't output it. I think there is another box about the same size and price that outputs 1080. Lets see if I can find it. Found it, it made by Roku. As for mkv wmv etc not sure http://shop.roku.com/?gclid=COf4lt376KkCFZV25QodA1LGXQ Looks like you can use it with plex but you have have pms running on your computer or server. I use it on my atv2 and it works great http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/forum/84-roku-streaming-players/
July 5, 201115 yr Limitations I've found so far, with at least plex and VLC, is that they don't play WMA Pro audio or VC-1.
July 5, 201115 yr Popcorn Hour A-210 plays WMA-Pro. Click the Specifications tab at the bottom: http://www.popcornhour.com/onlinestore/index.php?pluginoption=catalog&mainItemId=24
July 6, 201114 yr Author Bought and returned a boxee box, FYI doesn't seek WMV files, but it does play wma pro and any video format thrown at it. Not being able to seek pRon kinda sucks tho. Looks like I might have to build a full htpc with xmbc to make this happen... whoops guess not, looks like xmbc can't seek wmv either and popcorn hour can't. Guess I need the xbox for wmv and a box for everything else. WTF
July 7, 201114 yr How about just setting something up to convert your pr0n to non-WMA Pro audio? I know it's a PITA, but, fuck Windows What can't the Popcorn Hour do with it? It claims to support that format. It just can't seek it?
July 7, 201114 yr Author No seeking, but can play. You tell me if you want to convert 12TB of wmv and Ill mail em to you to do it...
July 7, 201114 yr Sounds like you have a bigger problem than finding something to play your pr0n.... 12TB?!?! :D
July 11, 201114 yr Author Can someone please scrub a .wmv file to see if it seeks correctly on XBMC, I am getting mix answers. Just load up any type of hd .wmv and scrub through it. If it kicks back to the front or won't let you seek please let me know. Thanks.
