Polhub
Put together a new pc to replace my aging Supermicro 2U server. When I transfer the flash, parity (10TB) and data (2x 8TB) drives to the new hardware, none of the drives show up. To verify, I installed some old 1TB drives using the same power and data cables and they 1TB drives showed up. I tried both the SATA connections on the MOBO and an LSI HBA (that was working when removed from the Supermicro) and neither worked. I put all the drives back into the the old server, along with the flash and everything came up just fine. I looked in BIOS and neither the 10TB nor the 8TB drives show but the old 1TB drives do. I am at a loss and hoping someone has some ideas. Quote Link to comment
Solution JorgeB Posted November 12, 2022 Solution Share Posted November 12, 2022 Are these shucked drives? If yes they might have the 3.3v issue, you can test by connecting one of them using a molex to sata adapter. Quote Link to comment
