SHAHZAD KHAN
I would like to replace my network adapter with this one; Amazon link https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072N84DG6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ASUS XG-C100C 10G Network Adapter Pci-E X4 Card with Single RJ-45 Port Is it supported in unraid and support drivers are available (if any) ? MAM59
It uses the standard aquantic chipset, therefor it will be supported. But beware! 10Gbe with RJ45 is not an easy thing to do! you need special cables and switches for getting it stable to work. I would recommend a card with an SFP+ cage. Here you can switch modules from RJ45 to Fiber or Direct Attach and see what works good for you. You can find the same card with such a cage on Amazon too. (it will be more expensive and you need an additional module which will cost extra money) Watch out for sporadous losses of link (and instant reconnects) this is a good hint that you have unqualified cables and need to exchange them. If your distance is >30m, forget RJ45 directly, getting it to run above this length is a sure throwing-the-dice game. Cheaper and more safe is to look out for a used Mellanox-3 or -4 card. They are rock-stable and sold for less (because they are used) money. Quote Link to comment

I've had no problems, didn't need special cables nor special switches. Quote Link to comment
