December 17, 20223 yr Pretty sure this is a bug. Settings > Identification > Model was saved blank, and now my server is bricked. I can't shut down the array via the GUI, I can't access the terminal at all, so I can't do much of anything since my arrary is set to start on boot. Only option seems to be backing up my data externally and starting over... again. Awesome. Edited December 17, 20223 yr by ianrohde

Not at all, you can always shut down via short button press, and put the USB drive in another machine to change/delete config/ident.cfg. Edited December 17, 20223 yr by Kilrah

In addition to what Kilrah said, if you have a situation where you need to set the array to not autostart and cannot edit in the GUI, you can just edit config/disk.cfg and set startArray to "no" so it will not autostart on reboot.
December 17, 20223 yr Author Thank you so much @Kilrah and @Hoopster! Sorry if I came off the wrong way, I've been through a fair amount of trouble getting this set up correctly... This is yet another bonus for using a flash as a boot. 🍻

When you are relatively new to unRAID, there are lots of things that if not understood can be frustrating. We all went through it. I have found over the years that there are very few truly unrecoverable situations and those usually come down to hardware failures and often not issues with unRAID.
December 17, 20223 yr Community Expert For the record the Model line has always been blank on my test system and it's never been a problem so most likely your issue had nothing to do with it. Edited December 17, 20223 yr by Kilrah
