I'm trying to run wdidle3 to disable the head park feature on my new western digital 3TB green drive, as i've done with all my 1.5TB/2TB greens to stop the excessive LLC counts. I disabled it, however during preclear I noticed it has 2k LLCs, and now has 5k LLCs. I verified that it's disabled.

 

Is there something I need to do differently with the 3TB drives to disable this 'feature'? At this rate i'll have 200k+ LLCs in a week.

Edit: Using wdidle3 1.05 and using the command "wdidle3.exe /d". It states "idle3 disabled" when I remember it saying "63 minutes" before.

I don't have any WD drives that are green so can't comment as to the wdidle utility.  Your question would probably be better asked on the WD forum (http://community.wdc.com/)

I don't believe that utility is supported by WD any longer. 

Double check your power connectors to make sure you don't have unstable connections. I've seen bad PSUs or bad cables cause LLC headaches.
