RossEm
Hello, I had some issues with my vm's crashing so to troubleshoot I decided to update my machine. After I had updated I couldn't start the array. I had 2 missing disks. (see attachment) However the disks could be read. They are plugged in via an usb adapter and were working before. Also attached is a zip file with the diagnostics. Thanks! corrie-diagnostics-20230207-1719.zip Edited February 7, 2023 by RossEm Quote Link to comment
RossEm
I just restored my system to the old version. The disks work now. But I do want to update my system. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
USB devices are not recommend for array/pools, the IDs can change with a different kernel, but you can do a new config and check parity is already valid. Quote Link to comment
RossEm
I don't have parity disks. I do not use my system for backups so I couldn't justify the cost. Can I manually change the id? Quote Link to comment
Solution JorgeB Posted February 7, 2023 Solution Share Posted February 7, 2023 Do a new config, it's still works without parity. Quote Link to comment
RossEm
Yes this did the trick. Thank you so much! 1 Quote Link to comment
