redacted
Hello all, my cache drive ssd failed last night. it is now dead and will not mount. I was not backing it up as I assumed (stupidly) that it was taken care of. Good thing is I had moved my important files to the array. Now I need to replace a 250 GB samsung SSD, read/write speed is not really that important for me on the cache drive as far as I can tell. My Jellyfin is running from the array and so is my Grafana with no issues. I am wondering if there are any downfalls to using a spinning disk for cache instead of a SSD besides performance. JorgeB
Performance and possibly higher power consumption, that's basically it. Quote Link to comment
