Johnny
The syslog apparently gets wiped when the server crashes? Mine just shutdown for some unexplained non-power reason and wanted to look in the syslog for clues. Is the syslog really wiped or can I retrieve what was happening prior to the crash. Additionally is there some kind of event viewer I can look at to see what hardware clues might be found outside of the syslog or is that all I got. Thanks! Link to comment
Johnny
Well not solved exactly but answered. I see now I need to pull the flash drive out before rebooting to grab the syslog, NOW I know. )) Link to comment
dgaschk
The syslogs stored on the flash are not current. It is in inadvisable to remove the flash before shutting down. See this for info on capturing the current syslog: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=9880.0 If the server shuts down unexpectedly the current syslog is lost. Link to comment
