March 11, 20233 yr I am upgrading the UPS on my Unraid server and would like to know if there are any specific steps required: ie. from an older model APC SmartUPS to a larger TrippLite model. Is there a specific order one must follow to back out the settings for the old UPS and setup the new one in Unraid's APCUPSD UPS management?
March 11, 20233 yr Solution Nope. Switch the UPS's and then set it back up if the communication method / protocol has changed.
March 11, 20233 yr Author So in a nutshell: Shutdown host. Unplug data cable & switch UPS. Plugin to UPS & attach data cable. Turn on host. Redo APCUPSD settings. That's it? Edited March 11, 20233 yr by Shazster
