zane797
I have been having some issues with my array. I have been getting errors with writing to the share drives. When I attempt to write to it from Windows I get an I/O device error. Most of what I've found about this says it is generally a Windows issue. I have done additional testing including connecting to the shares from multiple Windows and Linux machines, including entirely fresh VMs. The only temporary fix to this I've found is to stop and start the array. This works for a few hours but then the error returns. The kicker is that the disks are not reporting any errors or issues. I installed Fix Common Problems and it reported the error "Unable to write to disk3". I have attached my syslog and Smart data from Disk3 (both in zip and txt) and see no issues myself. tower-syslog-20230426-1927.zip tower-smart-20230426-1535_disk3_4_26_23.zip syslog.txt HGST_HUS724030ALA640_PN2231P8HVL7LR-20230426-1535.txt Quote Link to comment
Solution itimpi Posted April 26, 2023 Solution Share Posted April 26, 2023 Have you tried doing a file system check on disk? Quote Link to comment
zane797
That was something I attempted early on using the -f modifier but it didn't help then. I think either the issue changed or I did it wrong because I just did it again and it told me the xfs log/metadata was corrupted. I remounted as it suggested, then attempted the fix again and it seems to have fixed it. Marking it solved for now, hopefully this sticks. Quote Link to comment
