nicecube
Hey everyone, I recently performed a major cleanup of my Unraid server, including rearranging some cables. However, when I started Unraid, I encountered an issue with my SSD CACHE drives. Although all the disks in my array are available, I received an error indicating a problem with 4 SSD CACHE drives. I tried selecting the correct disks (marked as 'missing'), but unfortunately, it didn't resolve the issue. I'm reaching out for ideas or suggestions to troubleshoot this problem. If anyone has faced a similar situation or has expertise in Unraid, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Here are some additional details about my current setup: I'm open to any suggestions or potential solutions to resolve this situation. Thank you in advance for your help! tower-diagnostics-20230523-1618.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
This is because some of the SSDs are connected to an LSI RAID controller that changed the IDs, RAID controllers are not recommended for Unraid, it might be flashable to IT mode, in any case the SSDs would be better connected to onboard SATA controller, so they can support trim, but if you want them to leave them like that it's also possible to correct the issue. nicecube
Good morning, thank you again for supporting me. I have 3 LSI cards when I bought it said it was flash in IT mode. I would like to leave them like that for now. Quote Link to comment

One is flashed to IT mode, other two are in MegaRAID mode, and that is worse than regular RAID mode since it uses a different driver, and has the different ID issue, if you want to keep it like that just unassign all pool devices, start array, stop array, re-assign all pool devices and start array, that should fix it assuming only the names changed, RAID controllers can also change MBR or partition layout, and that would be a different problem. nicecube
Oh, I thought he was all in IT mode. I will check how to flash them if possible. Quote Link to comment
