July 6, 20233 yr Seeing a bit of an odd issue where after about 24 hrs, I cannot access the webui of unraid. The browser just spins. I can access my shares and everything else seems normal. However when I run /sbin/reboot it gets stuck on forcing shutdown requiring me to manually power off my server. Anyone else having this? diagnostics-20230706-0006.zip

I have been trying to figure out the whole syslog server thing and have setup something remotely. Also I discovered one of my parity drives was failing (thought maybe that's what was causing it), so I was waiting to replace it. I have replaced the parity drive and it is currently rebuilding but I crashed again. I've been using Kiwi syslog Service Manager on my PC, monitoring the Unraid server. I created a tech support file with it. Hopefully that helps. Syslogd_TechSupport.zip

That seems resolved at least. But I'm still losing the webui.. more often now it seems. I've also tried accessing from another PC on the lan with the same result. I mirrored the syslog to flash and have attached it. No errors found on the flash drive. Question though. I am trying to rebuild parity which is going to take close to 48 hrs.... if I lose the webui again should I just wait it out until I know the parity rebuild should be finished? It's getting frustrating to reboot and start over every time I lose the webui.... syslog Edited July 16, 20232 yr by diehardbattery
July 16, 20232 yr Solution You need to check your router configuration, it has issues with IPv6. Jul 10 22:15:50 xxxx dhcpcd[1697]: br0: expired address fda2:612d:c297:4585:265e:beff:fe43:dc4d/64 Jul 10 22:15:50 xxxx dhcpcd[1697]: br0: part of a Router Advertisement expired Alternatively set "IPv4 only".
July 16, 20232 yr Author Okay, but why would it just start all of a sudden having issues? Everything was fine until the 6.12.2 update? Also if you could please remove my hostname from your message? I wasn't sure if unraid anonymized it or not. Edited July 16, 20232 yr by diehardbattery
July 16, 20232 yr Unraid 6.12 has improved security, as part of that services are forced to listening to proper network interfaces (both IPv4 and IPv6). If something is not working correctly networkwise due to wrong configurations, it will impact communication.
