My server keeps freezing or crashing! and I'm not sure why!

If it's not this one then I have no idea how to get the syslogs that you are after! sorry not very technical minded. The server has been running ok for the last few days, with timed sleeps and powering back on. yesterday the server locked up again....What I will add to this is when the server locks the power button on the front front case will no longer power down the system! instead I can hear the hdd shutting down but fan lights and cpu fan are still spinning as the system looks like it's on, but no GUI on the local network and no access to shares. The only way to fix this is to hold the power button in for a few seconds and force a shut down.....

Morning, It's happened again here's the file you requested hope this helps!

The server was supposed to sleep around midnight last night, dont know if it did! (lights were still on and fans still spinning) No connection, no folder access either.

Had to hard reset this morning at 10am 23/08/23.

syslog-127.0.0.1.log 37.03 kB · 0 downloads

Since the log shows it waking up from sleep at around 10:00 am it must have gone to sleep, so any issue with it not powering off properly is related to the S3 Sleep plugin (which seems to have been behaving erratically on the 6.12.x release).

When the server is in this state i.e sleep I can't power on or off the server! All the fan lights and cpu fan are still on and like I said before the only thing that I noticed when trying to make the server respond like push the power button I would normally hear some if not all the HDD spin down or up (not sure which!) when I hit the power button on the front case! So thinking the server is shutting down normally it isn't. Then have to hard reset it because it just hangs.....
