AlexisRoyer
Hello everyone, Here is the context: I have a NAS on Unraid with these disks: - 1 parity HDD of 3TB - 5 HDDs of 3TB - 1 SSD cache of 500gb Here is my problem: I have disc n°5 which is HS and the disc has been emulated for a few days while waiting to buy a new one. I bought a 4TB HDD so a little bigger but I can't boot the array with a disk bigger than the parity disk. Is there a solution to restore disk n°5 which is HS with the 4TB disk? Is it possible to add the new 4TB disk as a second parity disk, with the following synchronization. And then remove the first parity disk and then put it in place of the 5th disk to restore? Thank you so much. Quote Link to comment
Raptor
Hi if its emulated copy all data from n5 to other data disks, shutdown, replace broken drive, boot unraid, Tools menu, New Config, put 4TB as parity and parity drive as data drive, start array, wait till parity rebuild, 3TB old parity precleari if needed and format Quote Link to comment
