Appdata spread across cache and disk1/disk2 - how to put it all on cache safely

I realized while looking at my shares that my appdata, which I only want on one cache drive used for plex metadata and appdata, is spread accross both the cache drive and disk1/disk2.

I changed my cache drive settings to not use secondary storage, which I think I should have done from the very beginning, but now I'm not sure how to isolate the portions of the appdata spread across cache/disk1/disk2 to just the cache drive.  It would not be very painful at this point in time if I just uninstalled the apps and deleted their directories in the disk1/disk2 portions, then reinstalled - or should I just copy that data over and then delete those directories?

I've attached a few screenshots of what I'm talking about.  Thanks for any help.

The correct process would be:

  • set the cache as primary storage and secondary storage as the array.
  • set the mover direction as array -> cache
  • disable the docker and vm services under settings
  • manually run the mover to get all the files transferred to cache
  • when that completes remove the secondary storage option from the share
  • re-enable the docker and VM services

That worked perfectly, thank you very much!

If you were to only have one cache drive (say a 2TB NMVe) and eventually it fails 4 years later, how would you ensure that all your app data is not lost? Is there a way to have a second copy of it automatically somewhere? Or does everyone just run mirror raid for their cache?
