I just learned about SCREEN for linux and i'm like a kid in a candy store.  being able to run terminal stuff in the background without leaving a terminal window open is so awesome!! currently using to reformat a bunch of drives from 520 drives to 512.

    I use both screen and tmux.  Screen's a little easier to use given how infrequently I need something like it, but tmux has a lot more capabilities (learning to be comfortable with vim + tmux is a goal).
