DrakingBad
My server is restarting every night. I'm trying to rebuild parity after removing a couple of unused drives. Attaching diagnostics. Any help is appreciated! Thank you. computron-diagnostics-20230911-0654.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
If it's really restarting, vs crashing or hanging, it points more to a hardware problem, you can enable the syslog server to see if it catches something, also make sure this is done. Quote Link to comment
itimpi
You should enable the syslog server (probably with the option to Mirror to Flash set) to get a syslog that survives a reboot so we can see what leads up to the reboot. If using the mirror option the syslog file is stored in the 'logs' folder on the flash drive. Unraid should not shut itself down without being actively told to do so in some way. It is also worth pointing out that if you have the Parity Check Tuning plugin installed then it has an option to restart an array operation from the point previously reached on rebooting (as long as it was a tidy shutdown and not a crash) which might prove useful to you? DrakingBad
Thanks, guys. I will enable the syslog server when I get back home. These are definitely not clean reboots… Quote Link to comment
DrakingBad
Good morning! I enabled the syslog server including the option to mirror to my flash drive. I enabled the parity sync and let it run over night again. Woke up this morning to it not responding to requests via the web interface. After rebooting, it came back online. I'm attaching the latest diagnostics and syslog. Thanks again! computron-diagnostics-20230912-0657.zip syslog Quote Link to comment

DrakingBad
That's what I was afraid of. I've been using the card since March and the issue just started after I upgraded a few of the drives recently. I think I'm going to try going back to the old 6 port SATA card I was using before moving to the 10 port card earlier this year. I appreciate the help. I'll also review the article you linked here. Thanks again! Quote Link to comment
DrakingBad
And I just confirmed that my original 6 port sata card matches the one on the supported list. Quote Link to comment
