Old 5.0.5 with 2 missing disk

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.

I use unraid some years ago and stop using it for different reason. Today, I was moving some computer stuff, and find my old unraid server, so I power it up and sadly there's 2 disk missing (totally dead disk). I can't start the array.

Anyone here got an idea on how to access the data on the remaining disk ?

Can you boot Unraid? You can create a new array with the remaining disks by using New Config.

Or you can read the disks on any Linux (at least until Linux deprecates ReiserFS).

Or do you need more advice on recovering data? Are you sure the disks are truly dead?

I can boot unraid, and see that 2 disk are missing.

I will try to hook one disk on a old laptop under linux so.

thanks for the advise.

Check disk connections, including power and splitters.

Then, can you see the disks in BIOS?
