PCI Usb Card

So I have a r730xd and I needed to add a couple USB ports so I grabbed PCIe To USB Card.  I've got 2 USB to serial adapters attached to it and I just need to ask the stupid question.  How do I find what tag they are associated with as they go to my two MD1200s for fan control.  I had this working on my previous setup so I know the cables are good.  I'm just wondering if theres a driver or something I need to install or how do I find the tags. On the last one it was set to /dev/ttyUSB1.

Using the terminal it shows 

root@Tower:~# ls -l /dev/serial/by-id
/bin/ls: cannot access '/dev/serial/by-id': No such file or directory

if you mean ls -l /dev/usb/by-id.  same thing.

no command lsusb

Which os vers are you running? I would expect the usb serial adpaters to show in lsusb. Are you able to try on a port not on pci card to see if they show?

I think its that one.  On a side note how do i translate info from that in to figuring out what goes here: /dev/ttyS1

This should show the serial device.

 

Looking at the amazon post does not seem to support linux so may not be a driver.

Honestly didn't even think to check for that...well crap.  Sorry for the stupid question and thanks. You wouldn't happen to know a PCI to USB card that actually works would you?
