randypfau
I followed an older video from SpaceInvader which I will show below. It seems as though Backup/Restore has updated since that video. Anyways I copied my domain folder and my system/libvirt folder to a share on the array and copied back to the new cache drive. All went well with the backup process as far as my Dockers go, but when I started the VM service and went to 'VMS' none of my machines populated in the list... I dont know where I messed up and after some searching am still stumped. libvirt log says this: text error warn system array login 2023-10-03 02:02:03.255+0000: 4444: info : libvirt version: 8.7.0 2023-10-03 02:02:03.255+0000: 4444: info : hostname: ODIN 2023-10-03 02:02:03.255+0000: 4444: error : catchXMLError:1015 : /etc/libvirt/qemu/CentOS.xml:1: Document is empty (null) ^ 2023-10-03 02:02:03.255+0000: 4444: error : virDomainObjListLoadAllConfigs:611 : Failed to load config for domain 'CentOS' 2023-10-03 02:02:03.256+0000: 4444: error : virDomainObjListLoadAllConfigs:611 : Failed to load config for domain 'FreePBX' 2023-10-03 02:02:03.256+0000: 4444: error : virDomainObjListLoadAllConfigs:611 : Failed to load config for domain 'MacinaboxCatalina' 2023-10-03 02:02:03.256+0000: 4444: error : virDomainObjListLoadAllConfigs:611 : Failed to load config for domain 'Ubuntu-WebServer' 2023-10-03 02:02:03.256+0000: 4444: error : virDomainObjListLoadAllConfigs:611 : Failed to load config for domain 'Windows 10 Pro' 2023-10-03 02:02:03.256+0000: 4444: error : virDomainObjListLoadAllConfigs:611 : Failed to load config for domain 'Windows 11' 2023-10-03 02:02:03.256+0000: 4444: error : virDomainObjListLoadAllConfigs:611 : Failed to load config for domain 'Windows 98 SE' 2023-10-03 02:02:03.256+0000: 4444: error : virDomainObjListLoadAllConfigs:611 : Failed to load config for domain 'Windows XP' 2023-10-03 15:06:53.746+0000: 4263: info : libvirt version: 8.7.0 2023-10-03 15:06:53.746+0000: 4263: info : hostname: ODIN 2023-10-03 15:06:53.746+0000: 4263: error : catchXMLError:1015 : /etc/libvirt/qemu/CentOS.xml:1: Document is empty Any help would be appreciated 😅 I dont want to lose all my VM's.... BlueSialia
Did you figure it out? I just replaced an old and small disk from my array with a larger one and I have the same issue as you. Same libvirt log, just different VMs names, as you would expect. Quote Link to comment
arretx
I also have this problem after replacing a disk. Everything that should be in /etc/libvirt is in /etc/libvirt- but I noticed that this /etc/libvirt- folder was created on October 6, and the problem started today. Quote Link to comment
