October 14, 20232 yr I've been running Unraid on my server for a couple of years now. It was rock solid for the longest time and then crashed. I honestly can't remember exactly what was wrong or how I fixed it, but it involved a lot of messing around with files and permissions and my cache drives. Ever since then it's been problematic. Sometimes the whole server crashes, sometimes it's just Plex or another one my dockers that's stopped and won't restart. It's a few times a week that sometimes breaking down. I tried running memtest over night and it reported no errors. I'm pretty confident I've messed up the permissions on my cache drive which holds my appdata but I don't know how to fix that or if it's even the problem. I know I haven't provided much information here but if anyone can point me in the right direction it'd be greatly appreciated. I just want to get back to good old reliable Unraid again.
October 14, 20232 yr Community Expert You are likely to get better informed feedback if you attach your system’s diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread.
October 14, 20232 yr Community Expert Also good to enable the syslog server and post that after a crash.
October 14, 20232 yr Author Thanks! Diagostics attached. I've also attached my syslog for October 13th. I *think* that's when it crashed, I can't be 100% sure. If it's helpful I can include additional days if it's helpful! unraid-diagnostics-20231014-0736.zipsyslog-192.168.1.66(2).log
October 15, 20232 yr Community Expert Oct 13 23:44:18 unraid kernel: macvlan_broadcast+0x10a/0x150 [macvlan] Oct 13 23:44:18 unraid kernel: ? _raw_spin_unlock+0x14/0x29 Oct 13 23:44:18 unraid kernel: macvlan_process_broadcast+0xbc/0x12f [macvlan] Macvlan call traces will usually end up crashing the server, switching to ipvlan should fix it (Settings -> Docker Settings -> Docker custom network type -> ipvlan (advanced view must be enabled, top right)). P.S. btrfs is detecting data corruption on both pools members, suggest running memtest.
October 29, 20232 yr Author @JorgeB Sorry it took so long to take a look at this again. When I go into those settings it shots the Docker custom network type is macvlan but it doesn't give mn option to change it, even with advanced view enabled. Also; I've ran memtest over night and it didn't detect anything. Should I be replacing my cache drive?

October 29, 20232 yr Author @JorgeB Thanks; I've changed it over from macvlan to ipvlan so we'll see how that goes. Regarding the corruption; what would the next steps be if memtest passes?
October 29, 20232 yr Community Expert See here to reset the filesystem stats and keep monitoring, if new corruption is found try with just one stick of RAM, if the same try with the other one, that will basically rule out RAM.
January 13, 20242 yr I am new to unraid and really like it. But I got unraid keeping crash, like within an hour after reboot. Can you also take a look about it? I don't know if it's because docker. But even if I disable docker, I still got crash. Thank you in advance. syslog-192.168.1.66.log dica-diagnostics-20240112-1502.zip Edited January 13, 20242 yr by popman

March 24, 20242 yr Hi @popman, Could you give us your feedback after few weeks ? What actions are you doing ? Thank in advance, Edited March 24, 20242 yr by lm699
