InReasonNotFish
I've had some errors on my drives over the years and have noticed that error message sometimes reference the mount letter, sometimes the ata number and sometimes the disk number. Then, if it's a physical problem I have to figure out which sata port the drive is on so I can find it on my rack. Is there somewhere I can inventory all of this info? I'd like to go from the physical drive serial number to the sata port, to the ata number to the unRaid mount letter to the disk number. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
JonathanM
Does the "Disk Log Information" icon directly to the left of the serial number on the main GUI page give you enough data? Quote Link to comment

I don't have a "disk log information" icon, nor does my serial number show on my main GUI. Strange. Quote Link to comment

You said "MAIN" & thought "main"... like the dashboard. I'm having a disc issue so it's not running right now. I'll check when I reboot. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
InReasonNotFish
OK, I'm back. Here is the "main" page of my unRaid gui. I don't see my serial number or a "disk log information" icon. I'm sure I'm looking right at it but can't see it. Quote Link to comment

But that screen doesn't tell me the ATA number. And, now I have a new error message that references an MD number. Nor is there anything here that tells me which port the drive is attached to. So, in this example if Disk 1 is giving me trouble I'd like to be able to know where it is in my rack and which SATA port it is connected to. Quote Link to comment
JonathanM
Did you click on the blue icon link to the left of the serial number? 1 1 Quote Link to comment
