November 28, 20232 yr Hey Everone, I just did a hardware upgrade last week to a new 14th gen i9 and new MB/RAM/Cooler and I've been having some random crashes. syslog spits out the below - lots of docker related issues it seems. May 26, 20242 yr Same problem since september 2023. I installed a lot of linux distro (ubnutu server, debian, fedora server, ...). Never a problem. I install Unraid once again and the problem persists. I have 3 licenses for 3 servers but only the NAS with RTL 8125 has the problem. I already installed the driver RTL8125B PCI Driver but no success. I am lost !!!

May 29, 20242 yr Author I can confirm the original issue from this post is resolved. Root cause was the i9-14900k cpu even after replacement by the vendor I purchased from and the same model but from a different store (so 3 separate 14900k's) issue continued with same errors. I've replaced it with a 13600k and there's no more errors after a couple of weeks of running as per original post and no more crashes. Assuming something wrong with the new 14th CPUs which would hopefully be fixed at some point.

If you read the link it tells you how to setup the syslog server so that Unraid is logging to itself.
May 29, 20242 yr Community Expert You have not set the Mirror to Flash or the Remote syslog server (to your Unraid server’s address) fields. With neither of those set the server is purely in a ‘listening’ mode.

May 29, 20242 yr Community Expert I tend to recommend only using the Mirror to Flash option for short term debugging (to minimise wear on the flash drive) and the Remote server option for longer term or for problems that take a long time to materialise. Not a lot of point in having both set. having said that, the Mirror to Flash option is the easiest to set up and the most likely to capture something as the other one will be going via the network sub-system (I think).
