sacretagent Posted September 30, 2011 Share Posted September 30, 2011 I have an external Esata dock and that works it works over USB too... you just need to mount the disk and run preclear on the drive assignment /dev/sdx i have done it before but the speed on USB 2 was pretty slow... I have been having trouble with my Thermaltake BlacX being recognized via Esata on my windows boxes, I will have to check it on Unraid. Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to tell what drive is in the external dock and how to mount it? *** Edit to add*** Nevermind the borard in my server does not have an Esata port and preclears take long enough. If USB takes longer I will just preclear internally. Link to comment
