Featured Replies

Hi,

Normally my server is stable. Ii's in the latest stable version 6.12.6
I restarted it a while ago, and I got this screen. I'm not able to log in.

Any idea ?

Doesn't look like you have even made it to the Unraid boot menu. Must be a hardware problem.

My server seems to have crashed around 8:30 p.m. Does anyone see what could have caused this problem?

Thank,

The syslog in the diagnostics are those from RAM and start from 21:42 which is when I assume you booted the server.    To get a syslog that survives a reboot so we can see what leads up to a crash you need to enable the syslog server.

Have you done memtest?

Not related to your problem, but I see you have Capitalized some of your share names, including System. Just be aware that Linux is case-sensitive, so "System" and "system" are different shares with different paths.

No, and I don't know how...

How can I correct this? Just rename the share ?

Nothing work !

You need to get it to boot from the flash. Check your BIOS settings

As written in the support topic where you claimed uninstalling NUT solved your problem (but didn't):

This seems more of a general hardware or configuration problem, rather than one caused by NUT.

I'd advise killing the power to your server at this stage, checking the HDD cables and running memtest.

If you have any logs indicating an actual problem with NUT, I'll be happy to do my best to help you... 🙂

If it never finishes detecting drives, seems like a hardware problem. Will it boot without the disk controller?

Sorry but my problem really disappear after that...

So is it fixed now or not after uninstalling NUT?

Because you say the problem disappeared but yet you can't boot your system?

Sorry I'm just trying to make sense of this, because it looks like your problem isn't resolved.

  • Author

No, the problem comeback.

The problem is not NUT.

I remove the disk control, and now I can access to the bios.

Did you change anything in the server? Is it possible there's too much dust or in a confined space with not enough airflow? It's possible your CPU maxed out under normal load due to thermal throttling.

Nothing change...

I have a liquid cooler and It's clean.

In Unraid, there are no alarms or a way to see the temperature.

Dynamix System Temp plugin

You need to fix this problem before attempting anything else with this computer. Thermal paste, fans, whatever it takes.

Thank for your help.

I replaced the liquid cooler with a fan.
