Spartacus
I just got my unraid plex server running, but it periodically seizes up. When I clicked the fix common problems link in the Settings, the memory error was indicated, as shown in the screen shot image. I have also attached the diagnostic information as suggested. If you guys can help, I sure would appreciate it. tower-diagnostics-20231225-2055.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Enable the syslog server and post that after a crash. For the OOM, if it's a one time thing you can ignore, if it keeps happening try limiting more the RAM for VMs and/or docker containers, the problem is usually not just about not enough RAM but more about fragmented RAM, alternatively a small swap file on disk might help, you can use the swapfile plugin: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/109342-plugin-swapfile-for-691/ Quote Link to comment
Spartacus
Thank you for your reply. I set up the syslog file and rebooted the server. It appears to be behaving itself for the time being. In what way should I limit the RAM for VM's or docker containers? I am happy to do that if it will make the system perform better. I am not trying to do anything fancy with this, just record programs from live TV and save them to the server for playback on my home television. Whatever configuration makes that work in the most reliable and low maintenance manner possible is the configuration that I want. Edited December 26, 2023 by Spartacus Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
I believe it's docker related, but cannot see which one, you can try turning all containers off and then enable one by one and let it run the time necessary to confirm that one is not the problem, before enabling the next one. Spartacus
You are a genius. That appears to have done it. Thanks. 1 Quote Link to comment
