Bronson15
The dashboard keeps showing me that two of my drives has SMART errors. I ran an extended SMART test on each of the drives and they both showing passing. Any tips? I am new to SMART reports. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
What errors are they? Hover the mouse on the thumbs down icon to show. Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
The bottom one should be fine, top one doesn't look good, and the extended SMART test passed? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
On the bottom one you can click on the thumbs down and then acknowledge. Quote Link to comment

Welllllll, I see "SMART overall-health" as passed, but it actually looks like the SMART test never got past 10%. Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
SMART Extended Self-test Log Version: 1 (1 sectors) Num Test_Description Status Remaining LifeTime(hours) LBA_of_first_error # 1 Extended offline Self-test routine in progress 90% 40053 - # 2 Extended offline Aborted by host 90% 40030 - # 3 Extended offline Aborted by host 90% 39615 - Looking at the SMART test results, but it didn't finished yet, see if it does and it passes or fails, but given the attributes, I would expect it to fail, BTW, also a good idea to check the results of the other disk. Yeah I aborted twice because it didn't get past 10% after 415 hours on the first one. Failing meaning replace the drive? Is 40,000 hours of a drive normal? I've only had it for a year and a few months, so that number seems off to me. EDIT: Oh wait this actually was my old gaming HDD. Will do a run on the other drives Edited February 23 by Bronson15 Quote Link to comment

Solution JorgeB Posted February 25 Solution Share Posted February 25 In this case, and given the terribly looking SMART report, I would. Quote Link to comment
