Parse temperature of HBA 9300-16I (LSI SAS3008 controller)

Featured Replies

In unraid how do I get the temperature sensor data for the HBA 9300-16I? It has 2 SAS3008 controllers in it and when I touch the heatsink is it really hot even though I only got 2 HDD connected

AFAIK they don't have a readable temp sensor.

This card runs hot. I was warned about it when I bought it. I run dedicated fans for it. When I asked about monitoring it, I was told just as @JorgeB mentioned - they weren't aware of built-in way to monitor it.

I found a way to check that and a ton of other status on my 9300-8i:

Thanks I given it a try and extracted the storcli64 from \Linux-PPC\LittleEndian\ to the tmp folder and did the "chmod 777 storcli64", then "./storcli64 /c0 show temperature" but get an error saying "bash: ./storcli64: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error" any ideas?

Hi, same error.. "bash: ./storcli64: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error"

I bought the same LSI card 9300 16i with external temp it says 61ºC.

But I want to confirm with script like that one that they share for LSI 9300 8i

Did you put any fan more? I don't how to put it, because I don't really have enough space, to do it.

Hi, try this:

You must extract storcli64 from linux rpm file
