swells Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Is there a way to do this? I searched and didn't see anything. I am able to manually do it, but wasn't sure if there was a way to get it to spin down after inactivity the way the array drives do.
WeeboTech Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 On the front/main page there should be a link to the name of the disk as in cache. Click there. A new screen will pop up with a drop down list allowing you to set the inactivity timer. (Spin down delay). Make a choice, click apply.
kricker Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I can force my cache drive to spindown, but it is not doing it on its own via the timer. Is there a command I can run to see what might be causing the drive to keep spinning?

kricker Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Great thanks. That gives me a ton of info. I'll do some research on how to understand the results.
