Does the array start currently with just that device? If yes, start it and post new diags, if not, I can post the instructions to reimport the pool

  • Community Expert

With the array running type:

btrfs balance start -f dconvert=single mconvert=dup /mnt/cache

when that's done type

btrfs device remove missing /mnt/cache

then post new diags

Sorry, typo, it's:

btrfs balance start -f -dconvert=single -mconvert=dup /mnt/cache

Yep, you just need the last step, reimport the pool:

on main click on the first device for that pool and then "remove pool"
back on main, create a new pool with the same name and 1 slot
assign the pool device, leave the filesystem set to auto
start the array to import the pool

Brilliant, all working as expected now. Thank you very much!
