My first SMART error

Featured Replies

Hi all you smarter people than me! 😉

I was watching Plex not long ago when the power was cutoff to our house. 10 seconds later it all came back on, and the server booted up as normal. This is the first time that something like this has happened, and it got me wondering about how ready my unRAID server is to deal with this sort of event. Anyways, I went to the Dashboard and found that a SMART error had been recorded against my newest drive.

I have no experience at all with SMART errors, so I was hoping someone here might be able to share what they know and explain what the report means. The zip file is attached. Thanks in advance!

It's one of the data drives in the array. The zip I attached is the SMART report for that drive.

Sorry, though you posted the complete diags.

CRC UDMA errors are usually a SATA cable problem, replace the SATA cable and acknowledge the current value, as long as it doesn't keep increasing, the problem is resolved.

A properly set up UPS would have avoided all that drama.

Unraid really doesn't like having the power cut, you are lucky more didn't go wrong.
