spall
Hey all, Attaching diagnostics. A scheduled parity check started, had a bunch of read errors on disk3. After parity finished, I ran a long SMART which completed with no errors. Not sure if this was just a gremlin or if I should replace the disk (easily done, I have spares). Any opinions on this? Also, if the conclusion is "leave it but keep an eye on it", what's the best way to clear the error? I'm all green thumbs up on the dashboard, but I'm getting a FAIL status on my scheduled notifications. It seems like I could tell FCP to ignore it, but I'm not sure if that will just ignore any further errors on disk 3. Thanks for reading! data-diagnostics-20240520-0231.zip Quote Link to comment
Solution JorgeB Posted May 21 Solution Share Posted May 21 It's logged as a disk error, and SMART is showing some issues, since the extended test passed the disk is OK for now, but most likely you will get more read errors in the near future, and if that happens I would recommend replacing it.
