Disk issues

Featured Replies

Ok, so I found some 8tb sas drives and I was looking to use them in Unraid for a zfs pool, however they don't look to like working in Unraid.  The first two have been trying to start a preclear for over 12 hours, and the other two (only 1 installed in the server at the moment) shows no info on it.

I've done a bit of googling but nothing I have found has been any help so far.

sdo is showing some SMART issues, run an extended test.

sdp doesn't even give a valid SMART, may be bad or with some kind of protection, that can happen especially with used SAS disks.

I was going to open a new thread but rather ping here.

I have a drive that failed after a reboot (my pc was very dusty part of the issue, and it's resolved now). I have now a new drive and the preclear won't run. I'm starting to think my sata cables are bad at this point :s

Try swapping cables with known good ones and see where the issue follows
