AlbertoGa
Continuation from this: I have replaced my PSU for one with 850W, replaced all cables for the ones that come with the PSU. Just in case, I used 2 separate cable ribbons so I don't have more than 2-3 drives in a single SATA power cable. Hard drives are still plugged directly into the MOBO, no HBA. Started the NAS again but main panel looks similar, parity device is disabled. I'll post the new diagnostics here. How should I proceed? nas-diagnostics-20240919-1334.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Do you mean it's still disabled after replacing the cables or you replaced the cables and it got disabled again? Quote Link to comment
AlbertoGa
It's still disabled The only thing I did since that post was to shutdown the server, replace PSU and cables and I started it back up again today. I didn't do anything else. Edited 12 hours ago by AlbertoGa Quote Link to comment
Solution JorgeB Posted 9 hours ago Solution Share Posted 9 hours ago 2 hours ago, AlbertoGa said: It's still disabled That is expected, once a disk gets disabled it needs to be rebuilt. https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/storage-management#rebuilding-a-drive-onto-itself Quote Link to comment
AlbertoGa
In maintenance mode the parity drive shows this: Short self test results in no errors. Is it safe to use to rebuild or do I need to swap it? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Short test is not a great indication, you should always run the extended test, but based on the SMART report the disk should be OK. Quote Link to comment
