HELP: shfs: share cache full/parity check stuck

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I notice that my parity check always get stuck halfway, im unable to stop it or pause it unless i reboot the whole server. When i check the logs im flooded with this message "shfs: share cache full", although my array and cache pool still have free spaces.

Help needed!

Attached diagnostics report, let me know if more info is required

Thanks all

Unraid driver is crashing, this is almost always a hardware issue, and since you have a 13900 it may be a bad CPU, you can try v7-beta to rule out any kernel compatibly issue, if it still crashes it almost certainly hardware.

share cache full means that you have a share using a pool where the floor is set higher than the currently available space on the pool, you just need to correct that, or ignore, if that's the floor setting you want.

Hi JorgeB,

Thanks for your reply.

Just to clarify, bad CPU as in faulty? or not compatible? Cause, docker and vm are running fine, only the parity always hang up

There have been a lot of issues with Intel 13900 and 14900 CPUs (and other models from those generations) some estimate that as high as 50% of the CPUs are affected in the long run, you can Google it for more info.

just parity hang only, other function including docket and vm all working as per normal.

Just to update.

i adjust disable the cache more to secondary (array) leaving it on primary. and disable docker. no more error found on logs and parity was completed successfully.
