High log usage

Featured Replies

I'm seeing a lot of logs for spinning up and down drives, is there a way to disable this? I'm also dealing with high log usage in general with 43% log usage in 7 days. Any assistance is greatly appreciated

Looks rather normal to me, there are like 2 or 3 log pages for a day, but the solution would be to disable spin down or limit spin ups.

Have you looked to see what is writing a lot to /var/log?   Does not appear to be the syslog.

Try moving your isos share to cache

/var/log doesn't seem to have anything too large, unraid is reporting 52MiB in logs

My isos are in one of my two cache drives, but does that make a difference I'm not using them very often

I suspect that one of the directories contains most of the space.

You are right I just checked the directories it appears to be SAMBA.

I have had some issues with my MAC (networking issues) so it's likely my mac is causing issues with SAMBA especially time machine backups
