Anonymous-Script: Problem accessing unRAID via the Win7 explorer.

Featured Replies

Hi!

I used the script Joe L. has written to allow guest access to my shares. That worked quite good. Now my Squeezebox-Server can see the new directories I have added to my music share.

But one problem occurred:

I can add a folder to any share without a problem. When I try to delete the folder I get an error from the Windows 7 explorer. Which says something like this:

You don't have the propper permission to end the operation. You have to receive permission from "TOWER/nobody" to change something on this folder.

When I hit "Retry" the folder is gone.

How can I change that??

Thanks.

Bye.

Hi!

I tested a bit further:

This problem only applies to folder in the root directory of the share. I can delete sub folder and files under folders in the root directory without the nagging explorer information.

Hi!

I looks like this is a problem of the windows explorer. Hm. Let say I use the anonymous script on all of my user shares. What username and password have I to use when I try to connect to unraid?

Bye.

Hi!

I installed unRAID and my Windows 7 pc completely new. Running unRAID without any extensions and starting just the anonymous script results in the same error in the windows explorer while deleting folder.

Bye.
