February 19, 201214 yr I like the idea of beiing able to access my SAB and SB on the go, obviously i would have to look into enabling DDNS, i have a dyndns account which i paid for, my previous QNAP had DDNS built in and i had it working through there like a charm, i letterally want to access SAB and SB but i would also like to be able to access my files on the server and download them to where i am if need be, i am in the UK and my isp is virgin media, they provide me with a 'super hub' which has a GB router built in but functionality is sparse, they recently upgraded the firmware to allow 'modem mode' which unbonds the router function and allows you to use it as a modem only, thus allowing you to use your own router, i have a linksys 4400n router but dd-wrt is not available for it, i have some old d-link DIR 625 router to hand which do take DD-WRT, how should i go about setting up a secure as possible connection to attain what i need ?
