Need Assistance with Docker

Featured Replies

Context:

I've had Unraid for some time now, and I'm on Unraid OS 6.12.10. I just added a 1 TB cache drive, and just enabled Docker and VMs. I want to install a docker from teh Community Apps, however, when I get to the add container, there's a drop down menu for templates and there's nothing there.

What am I missing? Attached are diagnostics if you need it.

Post a screenshot of what you are seeing, and the container name you are trying to add.

I hit install, I am then taken to the add container page, where my select a template dropdown menu has NO templates.

What am I doing wrong?

You haven't doing anything wrong, but no idea why that.

Is it possible that I set up the IP stuff incorrectly? I see a default route, a route labeled with a docker0 gateway, and a route with br0.

Not sure that, pls provide a photo for better understand what those are.

But as my first reply, there are no NETWORK found if according docker.cfg in diagnostics. Pls also post new diagnostics again.

So if there is no network found according to docker.cfg, how do I create it?

I'm honestly getting fed up with docker and unraid - it should not be this hard to figure out.

This no abnormal, the only abnormal was your diagnostics haven't network-rules.cfg file and network.cfg and docker.cfg both have something abnormal.

- network.cfg missing many parameter

- dockr.cfg missing interface at NETWORKS

Pls try delete network.cfg and re-setting the network part. You don't need manual create anything / modifying those config file.

Pls also in docker page, setting it "Yes" then RESET and APPLY.

Very strange issue, never seen it before, could be some flash drive config issue.

How do I reset the network part after I delete the network.cfg?

Also, should I try doing a clean install of Unraid if we think the USB is just corrupted?

Edited by TheGreenWizard

Sound good if you can recreate fresh Unraid, 1st fully backup the USB, 2nd recreate UR on existing USB and restore the licence key file is a quickest way rather then troubleshoot.

FOUND THE SOLUTION!

Went to the UnraidOfficial Discord, and asked for help in  the containers channel.

Turns out my permissions were set wrong some how. My docker is set to directory mode. I turned off docker, and then did the following two commands:
rm -rfd /boot/config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user
mkdir /boot/config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user
ls -alh /boot/config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user

Then started docker again, and checked to see if I could install an app and I was able to!

Is this still showing when you install from Apps?  It should NEVER show if you install from Apps as the drop down is redundant, pointless, and makes no sense when using Apps

Now that I fixed the permissions, it is NOT showing, and everything is back to how it should be.
