Looking for others with similar issues: Dashboard causes vast increase in the memory used by its tab

Featured Replies

Followup testing. Minimizing dashboard content for processor, network interface and airflow seem to have an effect on maintaining low ram usage. I intend to now go back enabling one by one to see what effect it has. I'll also note I'm using Firefox 140.0.2.

Exactly the same here. Currently on UnRAID 7.1.4 (and yes, with a bunch of plugins installed). I had the dashboard open in a background tab for about 4h or so (Zen Browser 1.15.3b (Firefox 142.0.1)), on Fedora 42 KDE. Was wondering why my RAM was sitting at 80%, Zens Task Manager revealed 13GB used by the dashboard.

Is there any way we can help investigate? Don't really fancy the dashboard causing OOM problems on my pc lol.

This shouldn't fix it, but can you try deleting this file from the flash drive and then reloading all of the tabs open to the dashboard.

/config/dashboard_settings.json

and also from the command line,

rm /var/tmp/charts_data.tmp

Does this mean that the dashboard was still actually visible on the screen, but you were on a different window for that time, or was it not visible at all? The dashboard itself, not the tab on the browser if that makes sense.

I'm having a similar issue, having a lot of stuttering in all the elements of the UI only while the browser is in the dashboard,

not seeing the high memory usage but in my case high CPU usage,

I already sended a bug report from the UI

EDIT: NVM, i see the high memory usage too now

This is annoying.. its same on waterfox also , a fork of firefox. It literally takes up X GB based on X number of hours the browser is on.

It also makes entire browser slow. I had to close it via waterfox task manager to clear the memory.
