Unraid Dockers messed up

Featured Replies

My previous flash drive got corrupted somehow and I had no flash backup. I set unraid back up using a new flash drive. I did remember the exact location for all the drives so that was amazing. The issue I am having now is I reinstalled community applications but it does not remember any of my dockers. My unraid machine shows dockers installed and are working but they are not editable at all, they show up in the community apps as installed, and I cant update anything. I can delete the dockers and reinstall but it does not remember my configurations at all so I am having to reset up every thing, but I cant see my previous configs to ensure I'm making the same edits. I have no clue what to do or how to fix this, the only thing I got back from support was we are not sure it should have remembered your settings.

Your settings for docker containers were stored on the flash drive so if you had a backup then you could get your docker containers without setting them up again.    Unfortunately without a backup you have to configure them again.  Note that it is only the ‘config’ folder from the flash drive that is important as all user settings are stored there.

Forgot the diagnostics file and i attached photos to show i have dockers installed but they arent showing up in the ca apps installed section. The only ones that are in there are the ones that I uninstalled and reinstalled. I have 50 dockers installed and really not wanting to do that for every app

So i have to start entirely from scratch :( that is terrible to hear! I am most def moving to trunas or some other solution. Thank you for the help! Unraid has been nice but the flash drives are not ideal and I want to get away from them.

Unraid can get the list of installed comtainers from the docker.img file, but to get the settings (and thus for them to show up in Previous  Apps)  you need the templates that were stored on the flash drive.

Not regularly backing up your servers's config is going to end up biting you one day regardless of the OS, so that's what you need to start doing. Appdata backup can back up your flash drive in addition to any important data from your containers.

Your blaming the OS when you should be blaming your hardware and or your lack of planning... You want to try out truenas... be my guest... Your electric company will thank you!
