Im trying to access the 1st 15 day trial extension but getting an error

Featured Replies

My trial just ran out yesterday, due to other commitments of work and blah blah im still playing around. Im in a bit of a confusion what to do as looking at the lifetime version as all my drives are small, 8Tb, 4Tb then 4 2xTB, IM running in a limited unit (SFF) that i cant add much too and looking to go lifetime, but its also a January the longest month of the year as we got paid early and had to cover xtra bills with wifey buying all the kids stuff.

So im torn.......with the amount of drives ive got I cant get the starter...... or do i drop a drive (is that possible) but ive also been looking at dropping a drive for now, get the starter and that would hopfully cover me until a sale is on to upgrade to lifetime. Im nowhere near my data being full on my drives either.

so ive tried to extend my trial today afer 30 days but i get "Error: Trial extend" is this because i have started my trial on V6 and upgraded to V7?

now i cant get my array started and use anything.

also I have 2 M2 drives handy (one in a m2 slot on my motherboard that unuraid doesnt detect) 500gb and a 128Gb one (or similar) if i was to get a SATA to M.2 dual converter would i be able to use these as cache drives and do cache drives count towards the overall total of drives?

Sorry im trying to NAS on a budget but the two dont seem to go hand in hand ha ha

thanks.

Nope, but there's currently an issue that sometimes requires you to logout from unriad.net, then log back in and try again.

I would suggest that you contact support as they are the ones to deal with licence related issues.    You tend to get reasonably prompt responses from them.

You don't need to deregister the server from Connect, just logout and log back in from account.unraid.net

just before this can be closed can you answer if the cache drives count towards the drive count? thanks

All drives (except the boot one) connected to the server at the point the array is started count (regardless of whether Unraid is even using them).

thanks for all the help, I was looking at the wrong part where to log out. thanks again.

Having almost the exact same issue, had upgraded to V7 and want to extend the trial and just keep getting "Error: Trial extend" whenever I try.

Have logged out and back into account.unraid.net multiple times but just keep getting same error.

About the only difference is my trial expired a few months ago, I haven't done anything about it till now as been looking after a sick family member so evaluating unraid took a back seat but I can get back into it now.

Apart from logging out of account.unraid.net and re-logging in, any other things I can try?

That is the problem, you can contact support to see if they can extend it, or start a new trial with a new flash drive.

Ok thanks.

I just started a new trial since I hadn't done much with it anyway.
