January 20, 20251 yr A few days ago I updated the BIOS, replaced my RAM and my PSU and upgraded to Unraid 7.0.0 in the same afternoon. Today my server was suddenly super slow. The WebUI would not load, SSHaccess took minutes, random pings took over a second... Then, after 30-60 minutes of that slowness thing became responsive again but the WebUI was all broken up (guess some JS/CSS was not loading) and no commands were available through SSH. Not even top or powerdown. The WebUI was saying the USB drive was corrupted. I shutdown the server holding the power button. Booting it up only was taking me to the BIOS until I took out the USB drive, blowed on it GameBoy-Cartridge style, and connected it again. Now I'm writing this from my usual VM. Everything working as expected. It does look like either the USB or the USB port had an issue. Which steps can I follow to diagnose the USB? Also, just in case, can somebody with more knowledge than me confirm that the upgrades I carried out didn't cause this? unblue-diagnostics-20250120-2016.zip
January 21, 20251 yr Community Expert usb wearout is real... I'm not aware of any bugs in updated that have killed the falsh drive. I have experind simalr with a update on a dying drvie and lost the drive. it is important to plug it in and copy the config folder. Hoepfuly you made a falsh bakcup unraid webUI > Main > Flash > flash backup this way you can copy the flash backup to a new usb and tranfer the lices whiule keeping all your configurations and data...
January 21, 20251 yr Community Expert There are no flash drive related issues logged, if all is working, just post new diags if there are new issues. There does appear to be an issue with docker, if yes, recommend recreating the docker image: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#re-create-the-docker-image-file Then: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#re-installing-docker-applications Also see below if you have any custom docker networks: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#docker-custom-networks
