February 24, 20251 yr I had to redo an install after my USB drive corrupted before I realised I should back it up, and then I couldn't replace my trial key onto the new drive. So, I bought a license since I've been liking Unraid so far, and put that key onto the new drive. So now I need to figure out which drive is my parity. I did the suggested solution which is to mount both drives, and whichever one returns as unmountable is the parity drive. However, both disks mounted, and I still don't know which one is my parity disk. As you can see, it's seeing that the disks are partially filled as they should be but the file manager isn't finding any files. Any help would be appreciated supernas-diagnostics-20250224-1342.zip
February 24, 20251 yr Community Expert With just parity and disk1 both disks are interchangeable, and looks like there is some data there, post new diags with the array started.

Here's new diags. If I rearranged the disks would it not come up with an invalid array error? Or would I need to do a full reboot / something similar. supernas-diagnostics-20250224-1535.zip

That screenshot doesn't serve to illustrate there are no files since you haven't drilled down into any disk. E---e shareUseCache="no" # Share exists on disk1, disk2 M--e shareUseCache="no" # Share exists on disk1, disk2 a-----a shareUseCache="no" # Share exists on disk1, disk2 d--a shareUseCache="no" # Share exists on disk1, disk2 s----m shareUseCache="no" # Share exists on disk1, disk2 These latest diagnostics show you have several user shares You can see how much of each disk is used by each user share by clicking Compute... for the share on the User Shares page. Since both disks are identical as mentioned, they are expected to have the same files. You would have to New Config to get one of them reassigned as parity. Parity might even be valid without rebuilding it, but I would do a parity check anyway, it would be a good test of how well things are working.
