February 25, 20251 yr Hallo zusammen, heute Mittag überrascht mich mein Unraid 6.12 - jetzt 7.0 mit erheblich mehr Stromverbrauch als gewohnt. Es wurde keine Hardware verändert, keine Docker, Pugins oder sonst etwas hinzugefügt. Normalerweise braucht die Kiste (HP Proliant DL380 G9) ca 150 Watt. Seit heute Mittag ziemlich genau 13:32 Uhr hat sich das verdoppelt mit steigender Tendenz. Derzeit bin ich bei 320 Watt. Bisherige Lösungsansätze: Neustart, kein Erfolg Docker Container beenden, kein Erfolg (Hätt ja sein können das sich ein Container verschluckt) VM´s beendet, kein Erfolg siehe oben. Unraid aus einen anderen identischen Server verfrachtet (USB Stick und alle Platten in einen exakt gleichen G9), oha, kein Erfolg. und genau jetzt bin ich am Ende mit meinem Talent, die 150 Watt bin ich ja gewohnt, aber 300+ gehen garnicht. Stand jetzt sind wir bei 350 Watt und es wird mehr. Jemand eine Idee?

February 25, 20251 yr Author Hello und Danke für den Tipp. Ich habe es unetr 6.12 bereits bemerkt, das war der Grund des Updates. Ja ich nutze ZFS, das wäre also eine Möglichkeit. Es wäre nur toll, wenn Unraid einem was dazu sagen würde, das vermeitet Panikattaken Die CPU Last ist mit allen Dockern und VM´s unter 5% Eine Last an den SSDs konnte ich nicht erkennen, daher bin ich auch nicht auf das ZFS gekommen. Hardware: DL380 G9, 2x Xeon E5 2680 2,4 Ghz, 512 GB ECC Ram, 8x 2TB SSDs Ja, ich lass ihn mal rennen..
February 26, 20251 yr Author Irgendwie... ich weiss nicht. ich habe seit dem hohen Stromverbauch unfassbar viele shfs Prozesse. Jetzt bereits über 200000 ja zweihunderttausend. 179.6 µs/s 0.05 Process [PID 220586] shfs mir deut irgendetwas ist da mächtig am schief laufen. Der Stromverbauch wird immer mehr, jeztzt sind es bereits an die 420 Watt. Gestern Mittag vor halb 2 Nachmittags alles im Lack mit knapp 150 Watt.

You recommend booting in safe mode to rule out any plugin issues.

February 27, 20251 yr Author Der SafeMode mit Gui hat nichts geändert, immer noch extrem hoher Stromverbauch. Jetzt teste ich Safemode ohne Gui... Keine VM´s, kein Docker nichts lief...

Kannst du mal neue Diagnostics hochladen bitte mit deinstallierten NerdTools bitte? Bin mir auch nicht ganz sicher ob dein Syslog nicht abgeschnitten ist. Bei dir am System ist ASPM komplett deaktiviert, sicher das du es nicht an schalten kannst? Das würde vermutlich auch schon ein wenig helfen. Verwendest du ZFS im Array <- bin mir nicht ganz sicher was ich den Diags sehe...? Wenn ja, warum?
February 27, 20251 yr Author Hallo Ihrs, Die nicht gefundenen Disks sind gerade von mir verursacht. Mit Absicht. ich habe nämlich alle Disks aus dem System geworfen ausser die SSD´s und siehe da, er ist wieder mit 150 Watt zufrieden. Scheint also irgendetwas mit den HDD´s (4 Stück) nicht OK zu sein, was finde ich noch heraus, die Datendisks sind aber nicht wichtig, die SSD´s jedoch schon. Ich habe eine neue Konfig angelegt, die beiden Cache SSD´s wieder zum Chache zugefügt und die beiden anderes SSD kratz ich gerade leer. Ja ich habe zfs im Array benutzt (Datendisks) der Cache läuft auf btrfs. Mein großes Problem (weshalb diese seltsame Konfuguration überhaupt existiert) ist das die Docker und VM´s saumäßig langsam sind wenn diese im Array sind anstatt im Cache Ich habe nicht herausfinden können warum da so ist, befinden sich die Docker und VM´s im Array sind sie unbrauchbar, wirklich langsamer als ein Raspberry 1. Im Cache gehen sie ab wie schmitzt Katze. Daher ist mein Cache voll (2TB) und mein Array so gut wie leer. Jetzt habe ich die HDDs herausgeworfen (und bleiben auch raus) und betreibe den Server "nur" noch mit 4x2TB SSD, zwei Cache, zwei Array und werde sobald meine Daten von den beiden Array SSDs runter sind diese in ein btrfs Array bringen, dann hab ich wieder Ruhe hoffe ich.
February 27, 20251 yr Author Edit: ich habe die NerdTools bereits komplett deinstalliert. Was ist ASPM? Ich weiss das am DL380 die Sensoren nicht ausgelesen werden können durch Unraid, daher sind leider einige Powersafe Funktionen vom System her aus. Ich habe aber nichts daran gedreht.
